Making Pretzel Cheesecake with Mama Pearl.

Pretzel Cheesecake {Cooking with Mama Pearl
Yields 1 9x13 Pan
Ingredients
- 2-8oz Tubes of Cool Whip
- 2 Cups of Frozen Strawberries
- 1 Bag of Thin Pretzels
- 1 Cube of Butter
- ½ Cup Brown Sugar
- 1-8 Ounce Cream Cheese, Softened
- 1 ½ Cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 Package of Strawberry Jello (Large)
- 2 Cups of Boiling Water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray a 9x 13-inch baking pan.
- Break up ½ of the bag of pretzels. Enough to spread and cover the whole bottom of the pan.
- Melt the butter and mix in the brown sugar.
- Pour over the crushed pretzels.
- Bake for 7 minutes. Let it cool.
- While the crust is baking, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together with 1 tub of the cool whip. Beat it very well.
- When the pretzels are cool pour the cream cheese mixture over it.
- In a separate bowl, put the boiling water with the strawberry Jello and stir until it is all dissolved.
- Add the strawberries.
- Put the Jello mixture into the fridge.
- When it is thick, pour over the cream cheese mixture.
- Set back into fridge until set.
- Once set, put the other tub of cool whip on top.
- I saved a couple of strawberries for decoration. Crush some more pretzels and put on top for decoration.
- Enjoy!
