Fresh Veggies All Year Long!

Growing up I was very lucky that my grandparents always had a garden. Every evening my grandma would tell me to go pick my veggie and I would run out to the garden and pick what I wanted to eat that night for dinner. I would most often choose one of my favorites; yellow squash, zucchini, or beets (which I called purples). I truly enjoyed eating veggies and did not know how lucky I was until I grew up and now I oftentimes miss that fresh taste and the variety of options. Especially in the winter months, I long for great produce. For The Love of Our Pets – Our Furry Family Members

How many of us are absolutely in love with our pets? Most of us consider them a member of the family. We talk to them, tell them we love them and snuggle time is a must. I have had many pets in my life and each has their own personality. My current fur-baby Lobo (Norwegian Elkhound) is playful and a bit crazy whereas Candy (Maltese Mix) is shy and moody. My newest baby is Cheyenne (Shiba Inu) and she is very independent and curious. No matter their personality traits they each hold a special place in my life and in my heart. Our furry family members have the ability to bring us such peace, joy and comfort. Now that I have written about how wonderful our pets are I want to also comment on the importance of our commitment to our pets. They have feelings and emotions, they must be taught and nurtured. When deciding to get a new pet I would encourage you to be responsible and do your research. Know the traits of the pet you are considering and be sure that it fits with your abilities and lifestyle. It should be understood that you are making a [...]

A Special and Beautiful Place….Your Jewelry Box

When I was only 18 years old I saw the most beautiful jewelry box. It was tall with carvings in a beautiful rich wood. I dreamed about one day having that jewelry box and of course having it filled with lots of pretty things. I have been lucky that I have now had two beautiful jewelry boxes, filled and organized with my favorite jewelry. Gifts from my husband and mother and of course meaningful pieces from my grandmother. My jewelry tells a story from the past of my family to the love story with my husband. And so of course they deserve to be kept in a special and beautiful place....my jewelry box. #lovethelove

The Pearl Fairy – to promote, teach and inspire kindness in children

It seems miraculous yet very fitting that the Pearl Fairy was inspired by a creative and kind three year old boy. It all started when he called me pretty and then started referring to me as the Pearl Fairy. His words touched my heart and I was inspired. The possibility that I could encourage children to maintain that kindness, which is so natural to them, and to teach and inspire them to continue to spread that kindness became an important mission for me personally. I have now been blessed by a large pearl family who has also taken this mission to heart and remain so supportive and encouraging for which I am eternally grateful. On the first of March the Pearl Fairy returns to encourage kindness and spread her joy of books and learning. She will once again do her best to reach as many children as possible with the hopes of inspiring them with positivity.
