Cooking Lumpia with Mama Pearl. Lumpia is a Filipino egg roll. This type of lumpia is fried, fresh lumpia is another favorite. Depending on the region the lumpia can be very different.

Lumpia
Ingredients
- 1lb ground pork or add ½ cup baby shrimp
- 1 small onion finely diced
- 1 small carrot shredded or cut into little tiny strips
- 3 cloves garlic- finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce (Toyo) or just use salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water or 1 egg beaten

Instructions
- Combine all ingredients, mix thoroughly.
- You can cook some before or put it raw into wrappers, your choice.
- Put a tablespoon of filling, one inch from the edge of spring roll wrapper
- Seal with cornstarch paste.
- Dissolve 2 tablespoons Cornstarch in either 1/4 cup water or 1 egg beaten.
- Deep fry in oil 375 degrees until light brown. Approximately 3 minutes.
- Drain on paper towel.
- Serve with sweet sour sauce or vinegar, soy sauce and garlic dip.
