Pretzel Cheesecake {Cooking with Mama Pearl

Yields 1 9x13 Pan

Ingredients

  • 2-8oz Tubes of Cool Whip
  • 2 Cups of Frozen Strawberries
  • 1 Bag of Thin Pretzels
  • 1 Cube of Butter
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1-8 Ounce Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1 ½ Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Package of Strawberry Jello (Large)
  • 2 Cups of Boiling Water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray a 9x 13-inch baking pan.
  3. Break up ½ of the bag of pretzels. Enough to spread and cover the whole bottom of the pan.
  4. Melt the butter and mix in the brown sugar.
  5. Pour over the crushed pretzels.
  6. Bake for 7 minutes. Let it cool.
  7. While the crust is baking, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together with 1 tub of the cool whip. Beat it very well.
  8. When the pretzels are cool pour the cream cheese mixture over it.
  9. In a separate bowl, put the boiling water with the strawberry Jello and stir until it is all dissolved.
  10. Add the strawberries.
  11. Put the Jello mixture into the fridge.
  12. When it is thick, pour over the cream cheese mixture.
  13. Set back into fridge until set.
  14. Once set, put the other tub of cool whip on top.
  15. I saved a couple of strawberries for decoration. Crush some more pretzels and put on top for decoration.
  16. Enjoy!
